Welcome to Nood
A boutique is simply more than just a shop, in actual fact the dictionary describes boutiques as being specialised and focused on fashion and guess what, that is exactly what we are. Bringing together accessories that compliment our clothing ranges and jewellery that will make your jaw drop, we at nood look at the big picture at nothing less.
As if that isnt enough, we take it as part of our job to help, honesty is the best policy and all that, so, there is no point telling you something purely so you'll buy it, beause when you get home, your friends will be honest and you wont come back.
So, if being herded round the high street, is beginning to get on on your wick, so to speak, come and check out nood in Chorlton, we think you'll be very pleasantly supprised at whats out there.

City Life (ChorltonLife May 2004):
Nood, a sweet little boutique stocks some real gems. Owner Alison King created
her own range of suitably individual designs to buy off the rail as well
as taking orders for personal tailoring.
They also stock a small selection of well known designers. This is great for those one off items of clothing, from funky printed T-shirts to trendy vest and knicker sets in 60's prints, as well as bangles and trinklets galore.
City Life (June 2004):
Open six months, Nood is less a shop, and more like visiting a friend with
great taste, seamstress prowess and fine knickknacks to sell.
There is something nice & whimsical about Nood; there are no hard edges; it's friendly & accessible, and Alison couldn't be snooty if she tried.
"Here the custoomers are more like friends, which is great, we are
known as the "Nood Girls" thesedays.... mmm, watch how you spell
that! I want to be approachable some shops are very snobby,
and make make customers feel unwelcome. Chorlton is a close knit community,
I like taht, we get to know our customers ver well?"
As for the future: "Hopefuly another shop, Liverpool or Leeds, or even Barcelona or Ibiza!"
So Nood sunbathing could be on the horizon then!
In The Nood (City Life 2004):
Nood in Chorlton, is a mere three or miles from the city, yet away from the
hustle and bustle. Crucially, it is a shop that keeps service paramount,
where a visit to the shop is more like popping round to a friend's house
to borrow clothes from her wardrobe.
Owner Alison King has impecable taste in the clothes she selects.
She only buys things she likes and this is evident by her excitment as she shows us her favourate pieces, funky clothes from Religion, Teenage Millionaire, Brennan & Burch, and Get Cutie sit alongside more feminine styles from Vila and Y London. Individual designs by the shop's own label AKA, sit alongside delicious Denim from Italian brand Mohave, the best fitting jeans around. Sweet accessories, bags, belts and jewellery are hunted down from across the globe. We're cracking open our piggybanks for the cute little bags by Flowerdrum, straight from Kuala Lumpar.
The in-house alteration service is just what a girl needs for the perfect fit. Trousers that are too long? The odd dart here and these and the clothes will look great.
You can even revive those items that have been banished to the back of the wardrobe because they don't fit properly. For an extra special occasion, you can take advantage of the design and tailoring service. Nood will create your dream outfit, exactly how you want it.
